Sugar Beach Resort

Set in 20 acres of stunning gardens, Sugar Beach Resort is built in the style of an old colonial sugar plantation. It is located on the sunset west coast of Mauritius and boasts one of the longest beaches on the island with over 500 yards of soft, white sand fronting the hotel.

The recent, complete refurbishment of Sugar Beach has seen the renovation of the 238 guest rooms and suites, 92 of which have being completely remodelled into Superior Ground Floor Villas. 20 first floor standard rooms have been added to the inventory.

The resort has reopened with two Villa Suites, 92 Superior Ground Floor Villa rooms and 164 Standard Rooms. The public areas comprising of the front entrance, the reception lobby, Mon Plaisir restaurant (the main dining room), the main pool and Citronella’s Café have also been enhanced.

The manor house rooms, reminiscent of a bygone colonial era, are situated in the imposing central manor house, surrounded by well-tended gardens and fronted by a croquet lawn.

For active guests, there is an impressive range of facilities including watersports, a fitness centre and a well-appointed beauty spa. Children can also enjoy their own activities, which is complemented by a crèche.

Sugar Beach Resort’s three restaurants offer an exciting dining experience, with the focus on open cooking buffets and live culinary displays. Friendly chefs are pleased to give advice on Mauritian cooking.

As the sun goes down, you can sip a refreshing drink under the glass-covered cocktail bar set in the middle of the swimming pool and accessed by a bridge. For the more energetic, the resort features nightly entertainment and dancing to live music.
