LUX* Le MorneThis resort's 20 colonial-style chalets lie amidst luxurious vegetation between the sea and the mountain, on the edge of one of the island’s most beautiful lagoons. The hotel offers 149 tastefully decorated rooms and suites, all with sea views. There are 3 superb restaurants: Horizon, the hotel’s main restaurant; Obergine, for lunch and dinner; and Nipa, specialising in Thai cuisine in the evenings. There is also Nautile, a lounge and cocktail bar, which specialises in tropical fruit mixes, iced caïpirinas and rum cocktails and the bars Ilot and Oasis offering fresh fruit juice, cocktails and pastries throughout the day. A warm welcome awaits youngsters from 3 to 11 in the Mini Club and there is a Teens’ Club for 12 to 17 years of age. Guests can enjoy a wide range of free sports and other activities, including two fresh-water swimming pools, wind surfing, pedal boats, canoeing, sailing dinghies, glass-bottom boat rides, snorkelling, water-skiing, gymnastics, a sauna, beach volley, table tennis and flood-lit tennis courts. Other facilities include diving, game fishing, speedboat rides, massage, mountain biking and billiards. Local groups provide evening entertainment, including cabaret, an introduction to sega music and dance, as well as Indian, Chinese and other theme evenings. LUX* Le Morne is also used for meetings. It has an air-conditioned conference room (55 square metres) equipped with audio-visual facilities, which can accommodate 40 participants. |
