Le MauriciaLying in the heart of Grand Baie on the northern tip of the island, Le Mauricia overlooks a magnificent bay which fades into the Indian Ocean. Originally a fishing hamlet, Grand Baie is now one of the most fashionable coastal villages of the island with its exotic restaurants, lively cafes and its traditional and colourful shops. You will experience the warmth of Mauritian hospitality, the cosiness and comfort of its rooms and the ever-attentive care of a young and dynamic staff at Le Mauricia. All rooms are sea-facing and they are equipped with individually controlled air conditioning; private bathroom with bath and shower; separate toilet; double king-size bed or twin beds; minibar; individual safe; hair dryer; international direct dialling telephone; telephone socket for PC; television (satellite channels, video, music) and a magnifying mirror. Les Quais is the main restaurant, by the swimming pool. Bay Watch is the main bar. The a la carte restaurant, Le Nautic, is open 6 days a week and has its own bar. There are three floodlit tennis courts, a fitness centre and a gymnasium, while water-based activities include water skiing, wind surfing, sailing, kayaking, catamaran cruises, scuba diving and deep sea fishing. There is a charge for some activities, though many are free. Pampering is available in the form of sauna, hammam, massage and hydro-massage. For children between 3 and 12 years, there is a Mini club, and with 24 hour's notice, baby sitting can be arranged. |
