Marlin LodgeMarlin Lodge is situated on the southwest shore of Benguerua Island, the second largest island in the Bazaruto Archipelago off the coast of Mozambique. This unspoilt area offers some of the finest scuba diving sites and some of the best deep-sea fishing in the world. The lodge comprises of 21 chalets - all built on stilts with wooden decks, reed walls and thatched roofs. All the rooms are connected by elevated walkways from the back and are en-suite with their own private veranda and a wooden walkway leading down to the beach directly in front of each unit. The lodge also offers a swimming pool, beautiful recreation areas and a friendly atmosphere where guests can choose to be as involved in activities or be as secluded and private as they want. This makes Marlin ideal for both families travelling as well as honeymoon couples looking for a few days escape. Wonderful palm trees set in indigenous gardens surround the whole lodge, and the sea views are spectacular. The water temperature ranges between 23C and 26C. This makes outings of scuba diving and snorkeling combined with a picnic lunch on one of the many beautiful island beach locations very popular. Other activities include ocean-ski paddling, windsurfing, hobiecat sailing and island drives. Experienced chefs prepare dinners, consisting of a wide array of seafood specialties. Dinners are either served in the main dining area or on the beach in front of the lodge where a wonderful selection of seafood is prepared over the open fires on the beach.
